Greek Test and Biofocus Test In Cancer Treatment

Greek Test and Biofocus Test Help In Personalized Cancer Treatment

The cancerous cells in most cases are able to resist the drugs that are supposed to be treating the patient. Even in the case of chemotherapy the cancer cell resistance to drug that was intended to kill them and heal the patient is common. For this reason the doctors have developed a more personalized cancer treatment. This involves conducting certain tests to show the ability of the cancerous cells resisting the drugs. Through lab tests help the doctors come up with treatment that will kill the cancerous cells faster.

Today cancer treatment is becoming more and more strategic. Different tumors need different medical attention to be treated effectively and efficiently. Bodily reaction to the cancer treatments can also require personalized treatment in order to limit the side effects of the medication as well as to make the treatment more effective. The circulating tumor cells are a major culprit in metastasis and so lab tests can show the drugs that can kill them completely

In the past the methods that were used in cancer treatments that were not strategic enough. Without pre treatment tests the cancer treatment becomes a simple “hit or Miss” situation which in most cases does not yield any effective results. A cancer treatment agent that may work in my situation might not work for you and so offering standard cancer drugs to patients is not an effective treatment approach. Some of these tests that help doctors in effective treatment of cancer include but not limited to the following;

The Greek test and cancer treatment

Due to the errors in cancer treatment that rise from the trial and error treatments or other the standard cancer cure methods, several cancer patients have lost their lives. Some of the cancer patients developed very critical side effects that only worsened their conditions while others had to go through chemotherapy repeatedly but to no avail. The patients have always wanted a better treatment method that would end their misery. The best treatment methods that will uproot the cancerous cells and avoid the possibility of cancer cells reoccurring after treatment has never been easy to find in the past but now the Greek test may help doctors with valuable information about the cancer cells ability to resist drugs especially the circulating tumor cells that are known to wreak havoc as they fuel metastasis. Through the Greek test precise treatment methods can be reached as the doctors will be testing the reactions of the cancer cells to the drugs in the Petri dish in the lab before the patient is treated. The most effective agent in inhibiting the growth of the cancer cells is then used to treat the patient.

The Greece test employs the latest developments in the genetic therapy to identify the cancerous cells thereby isolating them in the blood stream, culture them for further diagnosis, asses the patients sensitivity to the chemotherapy drugs and to come up with the profile for the cancer. The results of the Greek test can then be used by the doctors to give a more individualized treatment that is strategic in curing the patient’s cancer. This helps the cancer patients in two ways; it saves them lots of money that would rather be spent in haphazard treatment that is normally repeated hence more money spent. It also helps the patients by avoiding some side effects that may occur when the body reacts negatively to the drugs.

Nevertheless, the test on these circulating tumor cells (CTCs) can be used to assess the patient’s ability to metabolize chemotherapy drugs and assess the tumor’s resistivity to treatment. Their result is a more informed treatment procedure designed for the patient that will help in treating the patient more effectively without more pain inflicted on the patient during repeat chemotherapies.

In the past isolating the cancer cells was not easy as they travel the same circulatory path with the healthy cells. Today it is possible.  A medical professional takes a blood sample in the office. The sample is then sent to R.G.C.C. International GmbH, a European genetic research center where the researchers will create blood culture and isolate the tumor cell and perform a series of tests such as micro-array, PCR, RT-PCR, southern and less northern blot.

The Greek test will help the doctor with the following;

v  Discover genes which support cancer growth.

v  Assess which mechanisms that causes the body to resist chemotherapy drugs, and seek chemotherapy drugs that can support the patient’s recovery.

v  Assess which nutrients can cause apoptosis, tumor cell death, and slow cancer cell growth.

v  Develop a natural treatment program to hasten recovery.

Biofocus test and cancer treatment

The Biofocus test is aimed at availing the best treatment for cancer. First the disseminated cancer cells from the bloodstream are detected. The type of cancer will determine the kind of parameters used in detecting the circulating tumor cells in the blood that have broken away from the main tumor.

When the CTCs are detected, the next process is to test which chemotherapy drug can work best in fighting the CTCs and cure the cancer. The cancer cell resistance to the drug is also analyzed and this will help in choosing the best treatment for the cancer patient.

pH Therapy in Cancer Treatment

Ph Therapy Gains Popularity as an Alternative Cancer Treatment

Cancer is a very dangerous if not the most dangerous disease that has continued to depopulate the world. But that said cancer and cancer treatment is a very interesting study. It is amazing to note how a single change in the physiological conditions in the human body can affect the growth of cancer cell. Nevertheless there is always something new that you need to know about cancer as doctors and medical researchers are still trying to find out the best cure of the disease. Due to the numerous researches that had been done in the past , a number of alternative cancer treatments have been created some of which are still controversial, some of which have been dismissed as ineffective and some of which have become popular with both the cancer patients and cancer doctors.

Previously the most known forms of cancer treatment were chemotherapy, radiotherapy and surgery. But due to the loopholes that doctors wanted filled, new treatment methods have become even more popular with the cancer patients most of whom are trying to evade some of these conventional treatments for their respective side effects. One of these alternative cancer treatments is the pH therapy which is commonly known as the cesium chloride protocol.

What is cesium Chloride?

Cesium is a rare, naturally occurring element of alkali metal, similar in chemical structure to lithium, sodium, and potassium. Cesium chloride is a salt form of this element. Cesium chloride is most commonly associated with High pH Therapy and cancer, due to the work of Keith Brewer, Otto Warburg, and H.E. Sartori, among others. They found that cancer cells thrive in an low oxygen environment with low pH values, and that raising the cell pH makes it hard for cancer cells to survive. Cesium is one of the most alkaline elements hence has a high pH value. Cesium is readily taken up by the cancerous cells which then raise the pH level in the cancerous cells slowing their growth and reducing their survival ability.

Typically the pH level in the cancer cells is always low. The cancerous cells are more acidic as compared to healthy body cells. When a cancer patient takes a cesium chloride supplement, the pH levels in the cancer cells are increased. High pH levels are not good for the cancer cells and therefore the rate of the tumor growth becomes slowed. The treatment of cancer through use of cesium chloride supplements is often called the pH therapy.

The thought that cesium chloride could be used in cancer treatment began long ago when doctors found out that certain areas that had high concentration of alkali metals were devoid of certain type of cancers. In the early 1920’s researchers suggested that the cesium chloride could be used effectively in treatment of cancer. This claims were thwarted by other researchers who investigated the possibility of cesium being used in cancer treatment, they said that cesium chloride has no effect in tumor growth. However by 1980 the use of cesium chloride in cancer treatment was made public.

Cancer patients can buy the cesium chloride supplements that are available in pills and in syrup.  The patient can use between 1-6 grams of the cesium chloride as the daily dosage. It can also be mixed with juices, vitamins as well as minerals. Those who have used the pH therapy recommend using potassium supplements during that period to avoid abnormal heart rhythms. It can also be given intravenously that is, it can be injected into the vein through an IV.

Past tests on pH therapy effectiveness

A research study done by American University in Washington, DC involving tests on mice fed cesium and rubidium showed marked shrinkage in the tumor masses within 2 weeks. Another advantage of the pH therapy derived from the experiment was that the mice did not show any side effects from the therapy. The tests involved implanting tumors into the mice that were left for 8 days for the tumor to grow. Some of the mice were fed 1.11g of rubidium per day. After 13 days the mice that were not fed rubidium began dying. The tumors were removed and it was found that the mice fed rubidium daily had tumor shrinkage.

Tests have also been carried out on over 30 humans by H.Nieper in Germany and H.Sartori in Washington, DC. In both tests as well as other tests done by other physicians showed very positive results as in each case the tumor masses disappeared. The pains and other effects related to cancer also disappeared within 12 to 36 hrs. However in some cases the healing process took longer due to patients’ reacting to morphine.

pHOtto Warburg who is known for relating cell oxygenation to cancer also features here. When the cell is low in oxygen its pH drops creating a good environment for cancer cells to grow but with the pH therapy the cancer cells are easily managed as their growth and metastasis is inhibited.

Cancer has continued to threaten the human race but with doctors still working to curb its effects, there is hope that it will be curbed someday. You however need to learn on ways to prevent the disease. You need reliable information to help you do this. Low Dose Chemo and Cancer Treatment

Low dose chemo is an effective alternative cancer treatment approach

cancer treatmentInsulin potentiation therapy (IPT) is the utilization of low doses of chemotherapy and insulin in treatment of cancer. The insulin potentiation therapy may also be used in treatment of other chronic diseases. The use of low dose chemotherapy is safer as compared to conventional chemotherapy that leave patients with many life threatening side effects. The conventional chemotherapy does not only kill the cancerous cells but also kill the healthy cells in the patient’s body leading to a period of intense pain, loss of appetite, loss of hair, weakness, fatigue and even weight loss. The ability of coping with the side effects of conventional chemotherapy varies from patient to patient but generally the experience is not for those faint at heart. These inconveniences have led the patients to look for other safer alternatives in cancer treatment and doctors as well as other medical researchers have been looking for alternatives that can help the cancer patients to be treated more effectively with less severe side effects.

The history of Insulin potentiation therapy (IPT) can be traced back to the early 1920s when insulin was first used in the attempt to treat patients with schizophrenia. Dr. Donato Perez Garcia, Sr. developed IPT and used it to put cancer patients to coma in an attempt to treat them of cancer. His sons took the practice a head and today very many doctors now recommend the use of IPT in treatment of cancer, Needless to mention several publications have been made to avail information in support of this approach to cancer treatment.

Insulin and Cancer

Insulin is the hormone charged with the responsibility of transporting glucose through the bloodstream to the cells to provide energy. This glucose is needed by  both healthy cells and the cancerous cells to survive.

One of the notable difference between cancer cells and healthy cells is that cancer cells depend entirely on sugar and glutamine which is a form of amino acids found in highly concentrated animal proteins. The cancer cells will therefore use all the sugar (glucose) that is found in the bloodstream leaving the healthy cells with inadequate sources of energy to survive on. The healthy cells having no glucose left to utilize become starved and this explains why most cancer patients are always weak and rapidly lose weight.

The amount of insulin used to transport the glucose into the cancer cells is much higher as compared to the amount of insulin hormone used to transport glucose into the healthy cells. Averagely the cancer cells need 16 times more insulin hormones to feed its cells with the glucose.

The cancer cells are very fast in grabbing the glucose available in the blood and that is the basis through which PET scan works. During PET scan a radioactive agent is introduced into the bloodstream within a glucose molecule and since the cancerous cells are the first to race for sugar, they become visible through the scan.

IPT works in the same way as the PET scan, the low doses of chemotherapy drugs are administered in the bloodstream within the glucose molecules and so the cancer cells come scrambling as they are faster in response to glucose than the healthy cells. They utilize the ‘poisoned’ glucose and get killed sparing the healthy cells. In IPT healthy cells are not killed as it happens in the conventional chemotherapy where both the cancerous and the healthy cells are killed. This explains why patients on low dose chemotherapy do not suffer severe side effects as common with patients undergoing conventional chemotherapy.

Potentiation in the IPT is an English word derived from a verb ‘potentiate’ which means to give more power or other to make more potent. In this therapy insulin is used to make conventional chemotherapy more powerful and effective in killing the cancerous cells.

A study that was done at the George Washington University in 1981 revealed that when insulin is mixed with a chemotherapy drug, methotrexate, its strength in killing the cancerous cells improved greatly. With that high potency, patients no longer needed to be given so many drugs to kill the cancerous cells. This combination not only made cancer treatment more effective but also gave convenience to patients as they did not have to use too many drugs to keep healthy.

In numerous ways insulin can help in treatment of cancer patients. Being a hormone that encourages growth, it will trigger cell multiplication by dividing. This allows healthy cells to be more while it puts the cancer cells in a more vulnerable state to be killed by the poisoned glucose molecule in that as the cell divides, it becomes more exposed to the chemotherapy drug in the glucose molecules speeding their death frequency.

Low Dose Chemo

IPT is surely a clever way to kill the cancer cells. You see, Insulin is also known to promote detoxification process as it makes the cells more permeable. This makes it easy for the toxins to be removed from the cells. Detoxification is a crucial procedure in cancer treatment and can be highly achieved through IPT as opposed to the conventional chemotherapy.

The use of low dose chemotherapy has gained popularity over a time and doctors have endorsed this alternative cancer treatment. Going by the simple physiology discussed herein you can see how effective the IPT approach to cancer treatment is. Other advantages that the patient enjoys are that the whole procedure does not leave the patients with life threatening side effects as common in conventional chemotherapy. The drugs given to patients are also manageable as they are more potent. Healthy cells are safe and the patients do not become bald.

Cancer treatment is subject to new inventions and that gives you a reason to find a reliable source of information that will update on the latest medical inventions geared towards making cancer treatment more effective. Social use or an Addiction

Social use or an Addiction-Drug Addiction

Addiction

whether you take drugs for social reasons or otherwise drug addiction is real and treatment must follow immediately.

We have been talking about addiction and its effects not just in articles posted online but also in many different forums across the globe. The intensive discussion about this topic is a clear indication that it is no one’s cup of tea. Ironically some of the suspect drugs are not just legally accepted by different authorities but a great source of revenue for major economies. Take for example of alcohol which is believed to be the leading abuse drug globally is used immensely for social purposes and at the same time it is addictive and its addiction is very injurious not just to the alcoholic but to the greater society in many ways, begging the question are drugs for social use or an addiction? It can be difficult deciding between something (drug) which is used on a casual basis or has become an addiction. As difficult as it may be when you look and evaluate the merits of drug use and the demerits, the demerits outnumber the merits greatly.

Social use or an Addiction-A glass of wine or two

There is an old saying that ‘everything in moderation’  still holds true and it is the case that a small amount of something, for example alcohol or a couple of cups of coffee per week is not likely to cause any harm. In fact it may do you some good. One example of this is red wine which is considered to be good for your heart and health in general. Taking this further, there is the case of the ‘French Paradox’. This expression arose from a research study carried out in 1992 which reported upon the fact that the French diet was high in fats yet they had a relatively low rate of heart disease.

Social use or an Addiction-A cup or several cups of coffee a day

Caffeine is another substance which is fine in small amounts but not if taken to excess. It is a stimulant enjoyed by many people who like the fact that it acts as a ‘pick me up’ especially first thing in the morning! But excessive amounts of coffee will have a negative effect on your health. We have discussed in details the effects of caffeine addiction in our earlier posting. A cup of coffee again is used quite often in social places and for social objective however as started in the earlier posting if used excessively then it is addictive and can cause addiction.

Social use or an Addiction-Nicotine and other drug use

Smoking and drugs in general are not considered good for your health irrespective of the dose.

The dangers of smoking are well documented in fact all adverts of cigarette globally are mandatory required to publicly inform the ultimate smoker of the dangers associated with its smoking and its addictiveness and yet nicotine addiction is very difficult to break despite all these information and restrictions aligned to it. Many smokers argue that it helps them to relax justifying the social aspect of its use yet the long term problems associated with it cannot be ignored.

Drugs such as cannabis or cocaine may ‘help’ it consumer in terms of an instant ‘high’ and an escape from reality but they are highly the bottom line is that irrespective of the insignificant social benefits they are addictive and dangerous to your health.

Social use or an Addiction-Performance enhancing drugs

What about substances such as anabolic steroids or other performance enhancing drugs which are taken for purposes of increasing muscularity or athletic performance?

If for instance someone does not use these drugs regularly will it be okay to brand such persons addicts? We know that these drugs have side effects and in some cases, are fatal yet people still and willingly continue to take them. A new trend has recently appeared in which women use drugs such as testosterone in order to boost their assertiveness and confidence at work in the hope of furthering their career. Anyway testosterone is a male hormone which is responsible for muscle mass, lower body fat levels, sex drive, confidence and assertiveness.

This can be tempting to women who are trying to reach the top-the boardroom in male-dominated jobs.

Social use or an Addiction-At what point does casual use turn into an addiction?

If you use a substance on a social basis, are in control and don’t need it to function as a normal human being then it is safe to say you are not addicted. But if you need a particular substance to satisfy cravings, prevent unpleasant withdrawal symptoms or as a means of coping with daily life then you need help.

It is often the case that an addiction develops from casual use. It may be that you have strong enough willpower to stop your addiction but this is easier said than done. Some drugs such as cocaine, heroin or amphetamines are highly addictive and can lead to an addiction the first time they are used even if in small quantity. They are dangerous as well as powerful and it takes more than willpower to stop taking them. The first step is realizing that you have a problem of addiction and then seeking treatment for it.

Finally we may not have the opportunity to put in writing all the social usage of drugs but keep note must be taken when comparing the social benefits and addiction, the open truth is that these drugs are addictive and can cause addiction in no time. Because of their addictive nature Dr. Dalal Akoury, has in the past decades working on the best addiction treatment and she in line with this need Founded of AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center, at this facility she is offering her exclusive NER Recovery Treatment to all people irrespective of their background. Buprenorphine for the treatment of addiction

Buprenorphine for the treatment of addiction-Is it the best

Buprenorphine

If you are suffering from addiction seek treatment but remember Buprenorphine may not be a better option.

Buprenorphine is used to help you keep off street drugs such as heroin. It can prevent or reduce the unpleasant withdrawal symptoms when you stop using such drugs. It is a medicine that is similar to heroin and works as a replacement treatment. Many people choose to stay on buprenorphine long-term, although some people gradually reduce their dose and come off it.

The effects of buprenorphine last longer than heroin so it is usually prescribed as a once-daily dose. To begin with, you will usually be asked to take it under the supervision of the pharmacist who dispenses the buprenorphine to you. This means there can be no doubt about how much buprenorphine you take at each dose. This supervision may be relaxed after a few months of your taking a regular maintenance dose.

Buprenorphine is also available combined with another medicine called naloxone (the tablet brand name is Suboxone). Naloxone blocks the action of buprenorphine and the effect of the combination is that, if you are tempted to crush the tablet and try to inject it, you will start to get withdrawal effects.

Buprenorphine for the treatment of addiction-Can buprenorphine cause problems?

As with all medications, Buprenorphine (Suboxone) drug treatment also has some disadvantages. It is still a medication and if you prefer to break free from any kind of addiction immediately, then Buprenorphine may not be the way to go. Also, you may not be completely Buprenorphine-free by the time you leave drug treatment, even if you opt for an inpatient drug rehab program.

Some may consider these disadvantages while others consider them well worth the advantage of avoiding opiate withdrawal symptoms. Also, some initial studies on long-term use of Buprenorphine suggest that there are anti-depressant effects of the drug as well. The dosing schedule is also relatively easy to maintain as most don’t even have to take it every day. Additionally, you can’t abuse Suboxone, get high off of it or overdose on it like you can with some other opiate addiction maintenance or detox drugs, like methadone. Much as this may offer treatment for addiction, it is in itself addiction and should not be encouraged. Its demerits far much out ways the merits just have a look at the conditions lined below before and during its usage.

Buprenorphine for the treatment of addiction-Before taking buprenorphine

Some medicines are not suitable for people with certain conditions, and sometimes a medicine may only be used if extra care is taken. For these reasons, before you start taking buprenorphine it is important that your doctor knows:

  • If you have liver or kidney problems.
  • If you have prostate problems or any difficulties passing urine.
  • If you have any breathing problems, such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
  • If you have been told you have low blood pressure.
  • If you have any problems with your thyroid or adrenal glands.
  • If you have epilepsy.
  • If you have a problem with your bile duct.
  • If you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
  • If you have been constipated for more than a week or have an inflammatory bowel problem.
  • If you have a condition causing muscle weakness, called myasthenia gravis.
  • If you have recently had a severe head injury.
  • If you have ever had an allergic reaction to a medicine.
  • If you are taking any other street drugs or medicines. This includes any medicines you are taking which are available to buy without a prescription, such as herbal and complementary medicines.

Buprenorphine for the treatment of addiction-Getting the most from your treatment

  • Some people feel uncomfortable during the first 2 to 3 days of taking buprenorphine. Do not be tempted to take heroin on top, and do not take more than the dose your doctor has prescribed for you.
  • It is important that you keep your regular appointments with your doctor or clinic so your progress can be reviewed. You will be asked to give a urine sample from time to time.
  • Buprenorphine cannot be supplied to you without a prescription. You will not be able to ask for any changes to be made to your supply, as your pharmacist can only dispense the prescription exactly as your doctor has directed.
  • There are several different brands and strengths of buprenorphine tablets, so each time you collect a supply, check to make sure it contains what you are expecting.
  • You are more likely to succeed in staying off heroin if you have support and counseling in addition to taking buprenorphine. Local drug community teams, self-help groups and other agencies may be of help. It is much harder to ‘do it alone’, so go for counseling and help if it is available in your area.
  • You should not take any street drugs or drink too much alcohol while you are on buprenorphine. This is because other street drugs such as benzodiazepines (benzos) and alcohol can affect buprenorphine and increase the chance of unwanted effects.
  • You should tell the DVLA that you are taking buprenorphine if you are a driver. You are likely to be banned from driving at first, although you may be allowed to drive again later, subject to an annual medical review. Your doctor will tell you when you can resume driving.
  • Do not stop taking buprenorphine without discussing this with your doctor or drug-team worker first. It is important that buprenorphine should be taken regularly to reduce the risk of withdrawal symptoms occurring. When you are ready to consider becoming drug-free, your doctor or drug-team worker will be able to help you decide on the best way to do this in order to keep withdrawal effects to a minimum.
  • If you are planning any trip abroad, you should carry a letter with you from your doctor to explain that you have been prescribed buprenorphine. This is because buprenorphine is classed as a ‘controlled drug’ and is subject to certain restrictions.
  • If you buy any medicines, check with a pharmacist that they are suitable for you to take with buprenorphine. Many other medicines have similar side-effects to buprenorphine and taking them together will increase the risk of unwanted effects.
  • If you are having an operation or dental treatment, tell the person carrying out the treatment that you are taking buprenorphine.

So many side effects and so many conditions attached making buprenorphine not to be right for addiction treatment not now and certainly not ever.
