Cocaine addiction triggers

Cocaine addiction triggers must be avoided if we have to succeed in bringing this problem to manageable levels

Cocaine addiction triggers: Mindset sensitivity about cocaine addiction

From the mindset sensitivity of cocaine addiction the next point to focus on would be the identifying triggers to the substance of abuse and for our case, we are talking about cocaine addiction triggers. It is important that therapists should work very closely with their patients to develop a comprehensive list of their own triggers. Some patients become overwhelmed when asked to identify cues. From experience doctor, Akoury says that when handling addicts, you will notice that someone may even associate breathing with cocaine use. Again, it may be most helpful therefore to concentrate on identifying the craving and cues that have been most problematic to the patient in recent weeks. This should commence immediately during the therapy session and this should include self-monitoring of craving so that patients can begin to identify new and more subtle cues as they arise.

Cocaine addiction triggers: Avoiding cues

When considering the avoidance of cues, it is always advisable that you keep in mind the general strategy of “recognize, avoid, and cope.” These strategies are particularly applicable to the craving for all substances and not necessarily cocaine. Doctor Akoury says that real experts would first identify the patients’ most problematic cues then make an exploration of the degree to which some of those could be avoided. This will come with certain sacrifices including breaking ties or reducing contact with individuals who use or supply you with cocaine, getting rid of paraphernalia, staying out of bars or other places where cocaine is used, or no longer carry money, as in the following example:

Finally, in dealing with the perception of the mind about cocaine addiction one needs not to let any stone unturned. I am saying this because we are all aware that cocaine is an illegal substance but other substances like alcohol which are legal can form a perfect avenue for the consumption of cocaine without being noticed. Besides that, the ability to pay for the substance is another point of consideration. When the financial strength allows users to access cocaine could easily form a solution in an alcoholic drink. Therefore experts from AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center recommends that for any meaningful treatment to be realized, therapists and other professionals in the line of substance abuse must spend considerable time exploring the relationship between alcohol and cocaine with patients who use them together to such an extent that alcohol becomes a powerful cocaine cue. Specific strategies to reduce, or preferably, stop alcohol use should be explored. We appreciate that doing this may not be easy for many people and that is why doctor Akoury will be readily available on call for you to schedule an appointment so that any pending or unclear issues relating to addiction can be attended to professionally.

Over the past two decades, doctor Akoury has been very instrumental in offering solutions to all people across the globe and in her experience, she came across one client whose story will be very useful for many parents with addicted children. According to this client, about five years ago their son was 27-year-old and was so much addicted to alcohol drinking that finally led to the usage of other strong drugs (cocaine to be specific). For more than one year they were in the dark about his new habit until he was out of control and that is when he lost his job this really caught our pants down because of his life and that of our grandson the client said. We could not believe how ignorant and blind we were until it all started to make sense when our son was consistently broke, weird phone calls, not showing up for family events, his actions, and his physical appearance. At this point, the reality down on us and we tried to help him by enrolling him in treatment programs one after the other. It was difficult because the response was very discouraging but we kept telling him how much we loved him. In solidarity, we began attending recovery meetings.

Childhood substance abuse: Learning the consequences of addiction the hard way

To cut the long story short it reached a point when we realized that it was beyond our control and we were prepared for the worst but even as we were in that situation, we still told him how much we loved him even though at this time we also needed to take care of ourselves. And so very painfully we detached with love. Our house was still open for him and he would come for meals and to shower but he could not live with us anymore, nor would we give him any financial assistance. As fate would have it he who was never taught by his parents would be taught by the world and so he was arrested and we did not bail him out. He was so angry with us, but we still maintained our love for him. He was sentenced to go to a treatment program. He had only the clothes on his back, not even a pair of shoes, and it was winter. We did not give him anything but told him to call when he was settled in his new home and that we still loved him. At this point, he knew he was losing his family and possibly his son. That was about four years ago. Today our son has gone through treatment, is working on a recovery program and has custody of his son. We all take it a day at a time. We want to thank doctor Dalal Akoury and her team of experts at AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center for their professional insight that has brought transformation to our son even if it was through the hard way. Ending addiction chains: Alcohol energy drinks

When we talk about drug addiction, the first thing that ring into your mind is the misuse of hard drugs like cocaine, heroin, marijuana, cigarette, alcohol and many more. In very rear cases will you find people associating drug addiction with energy drinks yet they form serious part of substances that are very addictive. Because we desire to kick out this scourge of addiction out of our lives, we are not going to relent until everything is put on the surface for everyone to take action on. It is therefore very important to appreciate that, caffeinated alcoholic beverages (CAB’s) or Alcohol energy drinks (AED’s) as they are commonly known are premixed beverages that contain not only alcohol but also include caffeine and other stimulants. They are often sold in very attractive and luring tall, narrow cans similar to non-alcoholic energy drinks, which are popular drinks among teens. And in many cases they are marketed with content that carry teen-friendly names and contain a lot of sugar and flavoring.

Finally, take note that a typical can has about as much caffeine as a large cup of coffee, along with additives like guarana and ginseng that can speed up the central nervous system. This may come to you as harmless as their producers wants you to believe, but be worn that if you are committed into breaking addiction chains effectively, then these energy drinks should also be a no go zone.

Intoxication poisoning and threats to health

Intoxication poisoning

Intoxication poisoning and threats to health are evident with every unit of drug administered,

Intoxication poisoning and threats to health: A medical emergency

It may be your favorite drink but facts will always remain facts that silently, alcohol is a killer. Alcohol intoxication poisoning and threats to health are how best we can describe the magnitude of the harms that are associated with the continued consumption of this dangerous drug yet legally allowed for consumption. Experts from AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center under the able leadership of doctor Dalal Akoury says that because of alcohol hundreds of people die yearly from acute alcohol intoxication also known as alcohol poisoning or alcohol overdose. And besides, that thousands of more are admitted daily to the emergency rooms in various health facilities across the globe. It is regrettable that as things stand now and unless something is done drastically to contain the situation, alcohol poisoning is steadily increasing in high schools and other institutions of higher learning like colleges and universities campuses. For lack of better words to describe the magnitude of the problem, I can only put it plainly that drinking too much repeatedly too fast can kill and will you. I don’t mean to scare anyone with my choice of words, but I am only stating as it is because the picture we see on the adverts is total fiction meant to bring many into the consumption basket for an imminent destruction at an appropriate time, says doctor Dalal Akoury.  Therefore why do I say that alcohol poisoning is a medical emergency? Let’s find out progressively.

Intoxication poisoning and threats to health: Alcohol poisoning is a medical emergency

Alcohol consumption has never been friendly to human health and it is not about to start anytime now or in the future, and being a depressant drug, once it is administered into the body through ingestion, it immediately start it act of damage by working round the clock to slow down some of the body’s vital functions including heart rate, blood pressure, and breathing. This will continue as users continue in their habit and when the vital centers have been depressed enough by, it then leads to unconsciousness. Doctor Akoury is registering that it is very important to appreciate that, the amount of alcohol it takes to produce unconsciousness is life threatening and very close to a fatal dose. The consequences of this are that those individuals who survive alcohol poisoning sometimes suffer irreversible brain damage.

Nonetheless, one very important to note is that alcohol abuse knows no boundaries and therefore everyone can fall to it. I was talking to some student in one of the learning institutions and it is worrying how many are in the dark and were surprised to learn that death can occur from acute intoxication. According to the students, it was evident that most of the young people often think that the worst that can happen when they are intoxicated is that they will just pass out and have a hang-over the next day. That is the highest order of ignorance which is very harmful to our young people. It is our duty to impact positively on them by creating awareness about the dangers of alcohol poisoning and intoxication threats to health by all means. Finally, alcohol is not good for your health and if you’re in it, seek for help now by scheduling for an appointment with doctor Akoury so that you can have a one on one discussion with her today.

Infant food addiction prevention is possible when parents are well informed of their roles in caring for the children

Infant food addiction prevention: The best feeding habits for kids

When it comes to child protection, nothing is left to chance. We will always do all it takes to ensure the safety of our children and therefore, infant food addiction prevention must be top on our priority list. Ironically in our quest of bringing them up, we sometimes do certain things ignorantly that impacts quite negatively in the development of our children. We spoke with experts from AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center under the leadership of Doctor Dalal Akoury MD and a veteran addiction expert whose primary objective is to make a difference in people’s lives. In her, over two decades of working experience doctor, Akoury has really made immense contributions in transforming peoples’ lives from all walks of life across the globe. We are therefore privileged to have such brains to help us understand some of the techniques for preventing childhood food addiction going forward in this discussion. Doctor Akoury is very categorical that children can eat and enjoy a wide variety of foods and textures and will not complain much as we do. It is important that all parents and guardians should to take the earliest opportunity when children are still young to encourage them to enjoy family meals and even go beyond the family means by trying a wide range of other foods, tastes, flavors, and textures.

Experts from AWAREmed Health and Wellness Resource Center have established that toddlers and young children have a natural ability to sense when they are hungry and when they are full a function that most of us adult may not have. Ordinarily children will learn to eat what the family eats and that will only be possible if they are offered the same food and encouraged to try it. Low-fat or restricted diets are not always recommended for toddlers primarily because this may result in poor growth and development. Nonetheless we all ore our children the duty of care to ensure that as we feed them they do not engage in feeding habit that can have serious addiction impact in their lives in the future. In that regard, let us take some time to briefly highlight some of the concerns parents may have in bringing up their children to be free from the temptation of being addicted to food.

Infant food addiction prevention: Involving children in decision making

Your role as parent to your child is to decide what food and when to offer it, but the child decides whether or not to eat and to what quantity they’ll eat. Remember that children eat when they’re hungry. They have a natural ability to sense when they are hungry and when they are full. Therefore insisting that your child eats more than they choose to is not advisable because doing so is likely to encourage them to overeat in the future and probably become addicted to certain foods particularly those that you are forcing on them. Professionally doctor Akoury recommends that you let your children decide whether they will eat and how much they will eat. This may not sound reasonable for you but remember it is one of the best techniques for preventing childhood food addiction. Let us reason together and keep our children safe. You can always reach me on telephone number 843 213 1480 to address any concern you may be having about your children feeding habits.
